The recruitment process at Pepperdine lasts for three days in early September (open house night, sisterhood night, and preference night). During this time, girls have the opportunity to learn more about each sorority on campus and connect with the girls. At the end of this process, it is Bid Day! During Bid Day, girls receive their bid and spend the rest of the night with their new sisters! Hi everyone! My name is Nicole Milliman, and I am so honored to serve as this year’s Vice President of Membership for Delta Gamma. From the moment I went through recruitment my freshman year, I was drawn to the genuine warmth and love I felt at DG. Even then, I knew I would one day want to lead recruitment, and it means so much that this moment is finally here. I cannot wait to share all that Delta Gamma has to offer with you this fall.
DG has been the most meaningful part of my time at Pepperdine. From day one, I have been surrounded by women who offer unconditional support, constant encouragement, and a sense of peace through every transition. This chapter is loyal, authentic, driven, and joyful, and it inspires me daily to grow into the best version of myself. What makes DG so special is that this sisterhood extends far beyond four years; it becomes something you carry with you through every season of life. As you begin recruitment, I want to acknowledge that it can feel exciting, overwhelming, emotional, and everything in between, and that is completely normal. The most important thing you can do is stay grounded in who you are. The conversations that mean the most are the ones where you feel comfortable enough to be real, whether that means sharing your passions, your experiences, or even your nerves. Give yourself the space to be open, vulnerable, and truly connect. And most importantly, have fun with it. This is such a special time, and you deserve to enjoy every moment. We are so excited for you to go through this experience and find a place that feels like home!
